Appoint a Player Wellbeing Officer
A Player Wellbeing Officer (PWO) is a trusted adult within a sporting club who plays a key role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young players. They receive basic mental health training and act as a first point of contact for young people and parents/carers who may need advice, support, or a referral to professional help. PWOs help create a safe and supportive club environment where mental wellbeing is openly discussed and prioritised.
